Adelphotis News February 2025 - An Exciting 2025 Ahead & Proposed Centennial Album
Hello All,
I hope everyone has had a great 2025 so far. I am emailing everyone with updates from the Adelphotis. Please see the attached letter looking back at our year in 2024 and information on what lies ahead for an exciting 2025. A few things to note and highlight.
Our three annual events will take place on the following dates at Karyae Park:
Sunday, April 27th – Saint George’s Picnic and General Assembly
Saturday, June 21st – June Panigiri with LIVE MUSIC by Endasi
Sunday, August 17th – August Picnic
We hope to see everyone at our events in 2025, with our June Panigiri set to be our biggest event of the year!
A Proposed 100-Year Album
The Adelphotis celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023 with a memorable gathering of Arahovites from all over the USA, Canada, and Greece. This milestone coincides with the ideal opportunity to create a fourth historical album, following previous publications in 1927, 1950, and 1972, to further document the Adelphotis's rich history, achievements, members, and families. Inspired by Charlotte Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral's successful centennial album, the Adelphotis aims to create a similar keepsake.
A crucial element of this project will be the inclusion of family history pages, showcasing the stories of Adelphotis members and Arahovites in the USA, who are the heart of the organization. A four-page flyer with details and sample pages can be found here, including a pledge form to gauge member interest and secure financial support for this invaluable project. While this is currently just a pledge, your contribution is essential to bringing this historical album to life.
