The Vision

In 2023, the Adelphotis celebrated its 100th anniversary. The June 2023 centennial celebration was a memorable occasion, with Arahovites from around the world attending. It brought back great memories of Karyae Park.

Throughout its history, the Adelphotis has published three major historical albums (1927, 1950, and 1972) in addition to its annual booklet. These books contain priceless information and history about the Adelphotis and Arahova - preserving and well-documenting our history over the years.

With the last major book published over 50 years ago, the 100th anniversary seems the perfect time for a fourth album. The goal is to continue documenting the Adelphotis’ rich history, accomplishments, members, and families while celebrating our centennial.

The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Charlotte, which also celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023, produced a fantastic centennial album. After meeting with their album committee, we are confident we can create our own.

To proceed with this historic and significant project, we need the support of the Adelphotis’ families. A key section will be family history pages, where families can document their history. This is a key component of the proposed album, as the Adelphotis would be nothing without its members and the Arahovites of the USA. Showcasing many families will bring this album to life.
